As you might have noticed (if anyone cared) I have been pretty inactive of late. This has been because of a variety of reasons.

One of the big things that happened was that I had a car accident and wrote my car off.

Apart from some bruises and shock I was okay and thankfully no one else was involved. The result was that this has caused me a lot of stress and a bit of debt as I needed to get another car. However I did get a car I do like:



I have started to call it 'Nero' after Saber/Extra

The other topic that has been causing me distress has been work. I don't want to go into details on a public site, but after being there 10 years, it is no longer enjoyable, I am getting treated pretty poorly with little support and the management of the firm is disappointing. Sadly because of the debt and state of the economy it is unlikely I will be able to find another job and I am not even sure this is the career I am going to stick to.

Personally, there have also been quite a few hits that have affected me as well so I can't say it has been a very good last six months or so. It has been very hard for me to find any enjoyment or motivation to do any photography or cosplay at all.

With the debt, getting time off work difficult and being so uninspired I am having a break from cosplay, photography and out of state conventions for the next little while. It will be the fist time in nine years I haven't been to Manifest and eight I haven't been to AVCon. There is a small chance of going to Main Animania and I will still be at Brisbane conventions but I have really needed a break. Hopefully after a rest I will be reinvigorated as I do have some plans and ideas I still really want to do.

Saying that, I have felt pretty isolated and exiled so don't really know what I want to do or where I fit into the community anymore. We will see what happens after a break and if I am up to getting back into it.
